64-bit Excel import?
All,
This isn't strictly CATALooK specific but I thought I'd ask...
I moved to a shiny new server back end of last year, running Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. All good apparently Then two months down the track I tried to do an import to a CATALooK site from my usual spreadsheet and it failed due to the lack of Jet support on 64-bit. There's a gotcha for you!!!!
What are folks doing to get round this one - I'd much prefer to stick with my spreadsheets rather than converting to MDBs or (even worse) XML.
Be interested to hear your suggestions.
Regards,
Graham

Re: 64-bit Excel import?
Hi Graham,
I suggest to use the web services.
In this case you can use your old excel files also.
And you can adjust your small C# or VB program for web service import to the customer input files. So you save the conversion of custom input files to the excel format. And you don´t have the format conversion problems.
Regards, Stefan.
