Joining checkouts for two portals.

Once again I am left clueless as to the proper procedures involved with joining two portal stores together at the checkout. I have two stores hosted on one server and operating under one install of DNN. I cross sell between them heavily and am in need of a way to completely authenticate and pass cart contents, ordering info and customers between them. I want to allow customers whom wander into either store from the other to bring the contents of their cart and customer ID along with them so they are free to checkout where ever they want. Thus, this would have to allow for store specific shipping and item discounts to be passed along too. I was considering just moding an API from one of the existing CC providers included with the cart and doing one for each store. Then create a button on checkout like the Google or paypal ones that will allow the customer to checkout using the other store. Not very elegant and it would not solve the sync for cart contents being displayed in the itempane minicart , but I think it would be able to authenticate between portals. I am no pro at all of this and if it weren't for good'ole MS Expressions Web and the help from here (mostly Seanrock..thanks!)I would be totally screwed using just the admin manual. No offence Susanne, I love the cart and you did a good job on covering basics in the admin manual! My only issue is its just a bit like an automotive manual in that where ever you get to a part where you need specific information....you get "go see a mechanic" instead. If you have some particularly savvy users who could sketch out a detailed tech manual...I know they would make a killing after having it rewritten by a technical service writer.  I know I would gladly cough up at least $50.00 bucks for a .pdf ver. BTW if anyone wants the pdf version of ALL the documentation for the CataLOOK.NET Store 5.5 I have it hosted here for DL https://tango4less.com/documentation/catalookcomplete.pdf

Kind Regards,

Aric
