I have set up my cart to use coupons, and have tried to use a coupon on an order. That all works good. But what if I don't want to complete my transaction and want to clear my cart out. I cannot remove the coupon code that I have entered in my cart. There is no checkbox for the selection to delete. If anyone has any info on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Also I am curious how to set up product specific coupons. I know that I have to use the price rules module, but I am not sure about the formula to define it, or the tables in which CATALook will input the info from this module. Thanks again
You can not delete already entered coupon codes. But this is not necessary because the coupon code can still be in you cart until you come back and place an order.
Please find all information and formula samples in the coupon code field help text. The name of the table is: CAT_PriceRules.
So as a shopper, if I enter in a coupon code and then decide I don't want to use it at that time, it will be stuck in my cart forever until I use it?
I think this is a bug.. a customer might decide that a coupon (especially % coupons) would be better if they used it at a later time (bigger order).
Buy.com,Amazon.com,etc all let you delete coupons from your cart.
Thanks.
We will add more functionality for coupon codes to the next versions.
