I have a client that wants to be able to take partial payments for products and / or deposits. Do i need to program this in or is there an easy way to do this?
For example, they are selling a vacation package, and will only be taking deposits until a certain date. Afterwards, they would charge the remaining balance.
So for example, let's say the vacation is $3,000. The system would require at least a $1,000 deposit or full payment.
Many payment gateways support TransactionType: Authorize. Please check your gateway manual.
If you select this option you can manage partial payments on your gateway backoffice. If you select offline procession via option 'Save Credit Card Data and ACH/eCheck/Debit Data, do not connect to CC Gateway(Offline CC Processing)' on module CAT_StoreSettings, you can find the CC data on the order details page. This page must be secured by SSL to see the full numbers.
